New York State Governmental Affairs Conference
Make an impact at State GAC.
April 28-30, 2014
Join your fellow advocates from across New York for three days of networking, learning and personal meetings with our state lawmakers! This year’s agenda is bigger and better than ever, with a general session, breakout sessions, national speakers and the presentation of our state-level Credit Union Recognition Awards.
Featured Speaker: Former U.S. Senator Alfonse M. D'Amato
Former Senator Alfonse "Al" M. D'Amato had a distinguished 18-year career representing New York in the U.S. Senate, where he served as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee and as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Senate Finance Committee. During his time in Washington, Senator D'Amato was a powerful ally for New York credit unions.
Respected nationally as an expert in the legislative and political process, Senator D'Amato maintains close relationships with members of Congress and is regularly called upon for advice and counsel. He is also a noted commentator on the Fox News Channel, NY1 and Bloomberg Radio.

What your peers have to say about this event:
"It's important to get in touch with our lawmakers and find out what's important to them and what's on their minds with respect to credit unions." - Randy Martin, Dannemora FCU
"Meeting with our legislators allows us to tell them what we're doing and what we're feeling back home. If there is something we think needs to happen for our members, we want to make sure it happens. If you want to make a difference and make a change, you have to be involved." - Barry Stillwell, Canandaigua FCU
