William J. Mellin
President/Chief Executive Officer

Mellin

William J. Mellin is the president and chief executive officer of the Credit Union Association of New York. He is responsible for overseeing the Association and its affiliated entities, including Covera, CUC Mortgage Corporation, UsNet and the New York Credit Union Foundation.

He serves on the board of directors of Credit Union National Association, CUNA Strategic Services, Inc., the Credit Union Service Corporation, Credit Union House in Washington, D.C., and League InfoSight Corporation.

Prior to being appointed CEO, William was the senior vice president and chief operating officer of CUC Mortgage Corporation.

A native of New York, William grew up in the New York City metropolitan area. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Curry College in Milton, Mass.

Michael A. Lanotte
SVP of Association Services, General Counsel

Lanotte

Mike Lanotte joined the Credit Union Association of New York as associate counsel in 1993 and was named general counsel in 1997. He has also served as senior vice president of Association Services since 2000 and is responsible for Compliance, Community Development, Member Services, Education & Training, Governance, Governmental Affairs and Legal & Regulatory Affairs.

Mike is chairman of the CUNA State Issues Subcommittee and serves on the AACUL State Issues Advisory Task Force. He also chairs the AACUL Model Credit Union Act Working Group and serves on the CUNA Supervisory Issues Working Group. He has also served as a member of the NYS Office for Technology Electronic Signature and Records Act Advisory Group and a committee member of the New York State Business Council Governmental Affairs and General Counsel.

Prior to joining the Association, Mike clerked at Peoples Westchester Savings in Hawthorne, N.Y. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Albany Law School of Union University after graduating cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. 

Ronald D. McLean
SVP, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer

Ron McLean joined the Credit Union Association of New York in 1994. As senior vice president and chief marketing & communications officer, he oversees the execution of the marketing and communications efforts of the Association and its affiliated entities, which include Covera, CUC Mortgage Corporation, UsNet and the New York Credit Union Foundation. He also oversees the organization’s Administrative Services division.

Ron previously served as vice president in the Association's executive office, assisting the president/CEO in executing the goals and objectives of the Association and its affiliates.

Ron began his career at State Street Bank & Trust in Quincy, Mass., and later joined Putnam Investments in Boston, Mass. He graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his M.B.A. from the College of Saint Rose.

Kristina M. Oliver, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Kristina Oliver joined the Credit Union Association of New York in 1992 and was appointed chief financial officer in 2005. She is responsible for overseeing the finances-including the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and audits-of the Association and its affiliated entities, which include Covera, CUC Mortgage Corporation, UsNet and the New York Credit Union Foundation.

Prior to her appointment to CFO, Kristina served as controller of the Association. In this role, she was responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Association and its affiliated entities.

Kristina is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A cum laude graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, she previously worked as an auditor with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
