Financial Exploitation of Seniors; NYS Laws, Resources and What You Can Do
1 Credit Union Plaza
Corning, NY 14830
The area of Elder Abuse is a very timely topic right now. Recently the NCUA, in letter number 13-CU-08, released interagency guidance pertaining to the reporting of financial abuse of older adults. In that same letter the NCUA directed that we ensure our credit union staff is trained on the potential signs that might trigger a report of elder abuse or financial exploitation. The Finger Lakes Chapter of the Credit Union Association of New York is pleased to be providing a low cost training opportunity for your entire staff.
Speaker Art Mason, Director of the Elder Abuse Prevention Program at Lifespan in Rochester, will be providing a user friendly training to benefit all levels of staff.
