New video spotlights Association board members
Thanks to a new video created by the Credit Union Association of New York, credit unionists can learn more about the 11 talented leaders who serve on the Association's board of directors. The video, "Meet Your Association Board," is now available on the Association's YouTube channel.
Each board member answered a series of questions for the video, ranging from professional experience and insights to personal hobbies and interests.
"We have a great group of individuals leading our board, and I'm glad we can spotlight them through this video," said Association President/CEO William J. Mellin. "I encourage everyone to take a few minutes and watch, and I guarantee you'll learn something new and inspiring about each of them."

New resources available to combat elder financial abuse
The rapidly aging U.S. population has led to an alarming increase in elder exploitation and financial abuse. The Office of Older Americans estimates that seniors lose $2.9 billion annually to financial exploitation.
To help credit unions stem the tide of elder financial abuse, the Credit Union Association of New York has created a new webpage featuring resources focused on detection and reporting. By visiting the page, credit unionists can access recently released interagency guidance, best practices and more.
